As AI-powered search platforms change how consumers discover products, home appliance brands need to be visible beyond traditional search engine results. Buyers increasingly use AI tools to research appliances, compare product features, explore solutions, and make informed purchasing decisions.
In April 2026, I started working on improving a home appliance brand’s visibility across AI-powered search experiences, based on the US market, with a focus on Microsoft Copilot and its partner citation sources.
The objective was to strengthen the brand’s presence in AI-generated answers by making its content more discoverable, relevant, and accessible to AI overview systems on SERP.
Our Game Plan For US Brand GEO
The strategy combined Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI Overview, AI SEO, content optimization, and technical improvements to help search platforms better understand and reference the brand’s website.
Rather than focusing exclusively on traditional keyword rankings, I approached the project with a broader goal: improving how effectively the brand’s content could be discovered and cited across AI-powered search experiences.
The core priorities included:
Content Optimization:
Improving the relevance, clarity, structure, and usefulness of website content to better address consumer questions and product-related search intent.
Technical SEO Improvements:
Optimizing technical elements and content accessibility to help search engines and AI-driven systems discover and interpret important website pages.
AI Search Readiness:
Strengthening the website’s overall content structure to support better understanding of product information and its relevance to users’ needs.
Performance Monitoring:
Tracking AI citations and cited-page coverage to evaluate visibility changes and identify opportunities for further improvement.
Figuring It Out: AI Overview For USA Appliance Brand
One of the key challenges in AI SEO is understanding whether a brand’s website is being referenced by AI-powered search platforms, not just whether it ranks in conventional search results.
To measure progress, I used the AI Performance dashboard to monitor citations and cited pages across Microsoft Copilot and its partner citation sources.
This provided a clearer way to assess the brand’s visibility within the AI search ecosystem and evaluate how its website content was being represented over time.
By combining content-focused improvements with technical optimization and ongoing performance monitoring, the strategy was designed to strengthen the signals that support content discovery and relevance.
Quick Wins For AI Overview SEO
The campaign began in April 2026, with the initial work focused on improving the website’s content and technical foundation for AI search visibility.
By June 2026, the AI Performance dashboard began showing a noticeable level of citation activity. This marked an important development in the campaign, as the brand’s website was increasingly appearing among the sources cited across the platforms being tracked.
Rather than treating this as a one-time result, I continued to monitor citation activity and cited-page coverage to understand whether the visibility was being sustained.
GEO SEO Results That Speak

The AI Performance dashboard recorded the following results for June 1 – August 25, 2026.
339.3K Total Citations:
The brand’s website recorded approximately 339,300 citations across Microsoft Copilot and its partner citation sources.
434 Average Cited Pages:
An average of 434 pages were cited during the reporting period, indicating that AI citation visibility extended across a range of website pages.
Citation Activity From June Onward:
Following the campaign’s launch in April, the dashboard showed recurring citation activity from June onward.
Consistent Visibility Over Time:
Citation activity continued throughout the reporting period, demonstrating sustained presence across the AI citation sources tracked by the dashboard.
The results show how a focused GEO and AI SEO approach, supported by content and technical optimization, coincided with stronger AI citation visibility for the brand.
Long-Term AI SEO Expert Gains
AI search visibility is not a one-time achievement. Maintaining and expanding it requires continued attention to content quality, technical accessibility, product information, and evolving user search behavior.
The next step is to build on the existing citation performance by identifying additional content opportunities, improving important product and informational pages, and monitoring how the brand is represented across AI-powered search experiences.
The long-term goal is to establish a stronger and more sustainable AI search presence that complements traditional SEO and supports the brand’s broader organic discovery strategy.
Why GEO, AI SEO Expert Md. Shakib Bhuiyan?
I focus on the intersection of traditional SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI SEO to help businesses adapt to the changing search landscape.
My approach goes beyond optimizing pages for rankings alone. I look at how content is structured, how search systems can access and interpret it, and how performance data can guide meaningful improvements.
For this USA home appliance brand, the focus was on strengthening content and technical foundations to improve AI search visibility and track progress through measurable citation data.
